Hello there, I'm a non-EU graduate but will be graduating from an EU country soon (Prague, CR) and I was wondering how does it work for this "category" of people. I'm also an EU permanent resident. I've checked out the Irish Medical council website and it did give me a lot of information (Regarding being exempt from taking the PRES Step 2 and Step 3 exams). I also don't think I'll be required ...

Guys, OffshorePrivacy in particular... I am curious what kind of setup you really recommend? I am a single adult European male with e-business that generates a low XX,XXXX figure per month. I have no wife or kids and am willing to relocate. My business is not affected by any physical location and as long as I possess a laptop and internet connection it will exist. What can I do? Right now, ...

Hi, My partner moved here last month, she's been working as a nanny for nearly a month now. The family she's working for has also recently moved here from UK. I need a few points answering please? 1. There seems to be some hold up in the contract, as I believe the employers must obtain permission or something from the government? Is that right? 2. We obviously can't get a work permit ...

Hi Everyone, great forums I am from UK and my partner is from Australia, we currently live in Australia but I am thinking it may not be the place for us and am terribly homesick for Europe, so am probing into a move to France. My question is; I am presuming I do not need a visa to live and work in France as a UK citizen? Is it that easy for me? Then I have been looking into the French ...

Hi All, My family and I recently moved to the Netherlands from Belgium. I'm a UK citizen, as is my son who has a UK passport. Both of us are registered in NL and have BSN numbers, etc, so we are "in the system". My wife, however, is a US citizen, and we where married in Belgium. Since she is married to an EU citizen she should have full rights but when we went to register at the ...

Hello, I am currently in my second year of 4-year graduate-entry medicine programme in the UK. I am an EU citizen and would like to find out how I could move to continental Europe to practice after I am done with my degree. My biggest question is when I should try to make the move: should I do it just after my degree but before my foundation years? Should I do a specialty first and then ...

Tax residency is often different from residency in the normal sense of this word. Most euro countries is actually three months running, or 180 days (UK is 91) in a year. So if you spend 6 months out of the country, and then 6 months in the country - you are still resident for tax purposes. Also, you can be deemed tax resident, even if you don't seem to live in the country, Netherlands will ...

True Louglee, but the US system is different in many ways too. Getting a very high score opens the room for some of the competitive specialties (especially the surgical ones). And as it's a much bigger country, you're bound to get in somewhere. I guess the same can't be said for Ireland.
