I'm getting a laptop that comes with a eSATA port. So I'm thinking of using that port for an external HDD. Please recommend me a SATA to eSATA/USB cable or Casing. I have bad two experience with 2.5" HDD casings. Both drives worked perfectly while they were inside my PC but failed after putting them into cheapo China casings, even though I never used them much. btw, will I really ...

Hey, I am looking for an eSata external hard drive that is at least 500GB or greater. It will be staying on my desk for the most part so I don't mind it being powered from a separate power source. It will mostly be used for my video editing and Photoshop. Price wise, I don't mind paying for a product that is worth the money. So if any of you have some recommendations for a eStata external ...

Sorry if this has been covered before... I searched for m6400 and esata and wasn't able to find what I was looking for. I used to use my eSATA port every day with a few different devices. I started to have an overheating problem, so Dell replaced the motherboard and graphics card yesterday. Of course, that means I lost all my BIOS settings. Hello all, a friend of mine gave me his Dual 2.0 GHz G5 tower recently. This is the late 2005 model with PCIe slots. I have known he was giving me this for a while, so about 12 months ago I bought an ATTO UL5D PCIe SCSI card, which I promptly installed once I received the computer. I recently hooked up an E-Sata drive to my DVR. I seem to be losing connectivity to the drive which I can only get back by unplugging/powering down everything. This is going to cause unreliable recordings. Is there a workaround to prevent the disconnect from occurring?
