I have grown poor trying to get my 81 323i Baur started...Replaced pump, accum, filter, lines...Now in need of a used, non-leaking cold start valve and a working fuel pump relay....(Also..Is there a cold start valve from any other car that could be used ?)

I know this is a dumb question, but i have removed batteries form other cars before with out the car just dying as soon as i pull the battery.. The reason i ask is that with a dead or dying battery i could jump the car,, and it would run like 5 mins before it stalled out or just cut off.. so i was thinking it might be the alt not getting juice to the system, so my theory ...

Did you try jumpering the relay? I don't think it is the problem, and this way you can find out for free.

^^^what Arno said, its how they come on the RHD e21's i was going to change it and put different booster and that on but i quite like it, people who dont know the e21's get a bit of a suprise seeing it there

Can't say I blame you there decent parts are hard to find especially in Adelaide or Australia in general. Wish it was a little easier to source good parts but it is always a good feeling when you find that rare part, though waiting 6years to find a lsd is a little too long. In regards to buying a car in Mount Barker nope not me .
