have done a search through realoem which suggests the same starter was used for E21 and E30. No E21 starters on ebay but plenty of E30s. However none of the sellers list the part number so I can't check it will be the part I need. As the title says i have a pair (one lefthand and one right hand ) ex vauxhall gte recaros with e21 recaro rails and the seat sliders for sale..the seats are in good condition with good solid foam bolsters(one on the drivers seat has been replaced with a new one) they need a valet as they have been in the garage since 2004 ..the rails could do with a lick of paint ....looking for £50 for the lot ...

Hello all, Im new to the e21 scene and must say awesome website and thanks everyone as have been very helpfull so far... I have just bought a E21 316 in hennarot red... 1 owner from new ,it came with new rear arches welded in and the sills replaced and has also had some welding done in the boot... plans wise get all the paint sorted and run it very euro on some 15/16 inch splits ...

So, one of the last big waves of work i did to my car included front shocks. I pulled out the padded out old KYB's and put in some Bilstein heavy duties. I used strut tower bearings made by "ruville" or something like that. They are German made, but still i should have used original BMW bearings. I'm looking for a set of pistons to suit the E21 2.0 head. Does anyone have any that will work or that can be modified to work? I have some from a 2002, but they would give a very low compression ratio. W&N have them on offer at the moment, but I can't face spending 420 Euros just yet! Mark

since previous owners are pretty much the devil; what have you found on your e21 that was the simplest/cheapest fix that the PO jimmy-rigged for reasons beyond comprehension? keep them short and sweet! ill start: -zip ties everywhere, for everything including the replacement of hose clamps -gutted thermostat -ran a power wire to trunk for a system...
