HXD 970 - dubbing dual layer discs Hi. I've got a Sony HXD 970 and love it to pieces. However, I recently tried to make a copy of a dual layer disc that I originally made on the machine. It tells me it can't dub dual layer ...

Anybody making or using dubbing brushes for tying flies? I was looking for an easier way to tie popsicles, and one website I saw was using these dubbing brushes. I did some more research, and found many uses for them. I looked at a few different dubbing tables and machines, and found that there is one made for use with the nor vise. Anyone have any experience with this? Jake

There are a lot of anime out there. Some that are worth the effort of dubbing either due to high DVD sales, a large audience/fanbase, or high demands from the fanbase/audience; but there are some anime that aren't worth the effort since it "won't sell," the fanbase/audience isn't really large, or unable to "break even." Here is the thing, suppose you came across a subbed anime you ...

I saw this on cabelas website and was wondering if anyone has ever used it before. It looks like dubbing but its made out of aluminum shavings i guess. It says that you can use this to make sinking flies and use less lead. I didnt know how it compared to dubbing and i know aluminum isnt supposed to rust but something this small must oxidize to some degree right? they all sorts of colors, just ...

So, I've been looking for the videos of the ZooTV Outside Broadcast for a fair while, and all I've even come up with are those ones with the subtitles/dubbing/translation, etc. I know a few other people on the forum have asked about it, and no one seems to have it. Just found this video though, so I thought I'd share, in case anyone else is interested. Looks like the poster has the whole thing up...

Ripley, when you saw the movie, did you watch it dubbed or subbed or without anything? I think the dubbing is really good, based on this interview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWYhlW2VEiw Whenever they show clips from the trailer, they have it dubbed. I think the voices match pretty well for everyone. And do they normally dub most of the American movies that come out in France?

Hi! I’m a student, living in Germany, Berlin. Currently I’m writing my thesis, but I could need a little help... For my thesis I created an online test for auditory perception. It includes sound examples from different movies (American original version and the German dubbing version). The German and American "test subjects" have to listen to the sound examples and they have to appraise ...

I may be a rare case in that my first time watching this film was with the English dub instead of subtitles. I can safely say that dubbing was a horrible idea. Most if not all of the voices did not fit, and the vocal acting was downright terrible. Didn't change my impression of the movie, though; I liked it a lot. I recognized quite a few voices from some dubs of anime I've watched, and I ...

I am an American living in Italy. Here, everything is dubbed. On TV, movies, everywhere. I keep flipping channels hoping to see a movie in English with Italian subtitles just for a brief respite and the chance to hear my language again, but to no avail of course. Italy is famous for its dubbing. I must say, it's done well, and actors will have the same voice actor for years so you begin ...
