I live S. of DC and can catch an Amtrak to NYC where I'm working now on planning a two night stay, preferably in a central location. (Then again, I could drive or fly, too). Is hauling around a carry-on sized bag a big deal through the stations? I don't want to scream "tourist" and were it not for the cold I'd be packing a lot lighter. Also, is it easier to get to Midtown via JFK or ...

I just bought an ml430 w/50k miles. She's clean as can be, but needed new rotors & a few relays. My issue is the drive train has a very high freq vibration I can feel in the wheel and shift knob. It shows up when accelerating and making left hand turns. It's not very noticeable, but I feel it's something worth investigating. Also, the BAS, ETS and ABS lights are on constantly. I assume ...

Hey all! I am trying to figure out what this noise is. Unfortunatly it's hard to search with out being to broad or to specific, so I will throw this thread out to fish for someone's knowledge/ experience with this. SOOOO... The noise seems like a bearing with too much clearance, kind of a creaky hum, and only occurs during down shifting(deceleration) when I let off the clutch, and if the...

Ah ha! Great idea. I recall the Post did a story about the different buses- what was good/what to avoid and were I to do that, I'd just slug it in to DC. I was just on the Amtrak site and for the cost of the train ride I could fly in to JFK AND get a hotel for two nights! Might even be worth driving in to Baltimore , and the adventure factor when traveling with an 18 yr old is ...
