Another thread gave me the idea - I thought this could be interesting. Unfortunately, I know next to nothing about Dresden so I can't judge this myself. Anyone familiar with both characters who can give me an analysis? I can give a link to a page with some info on Kiritsugu at least: http://typemoon.wikia.com/wiki/Emiya_Kiritsugu

We're listening to the Small Favor audiobook and my wife suddenly pipes up. "You know who'd make a good Harry Dresden? Jensen Ackles!" And you know what? He totally would make an awesome Harry Dresden, had Paul Blackthorn not taken the role.

Okay, so, I'm looking for something new to read. Overall, the biggest point of reference that I have to work with is the Dresden Files series, since I unfortunately don't read enough literature at the moment to have other series in mind that even loosely fit what I desire. So, given that, here's what I'm looking for, in that vein: -A relatively light, pageturnery(I admit, that is not a ...

Hi there I need to travel from Dresden to Prague in the evening on 3 January (Sunday). Is it possible to get to Prague at somewhat 10-15 euros with no preleminary reservation/booking? Means of transportation isn't important. Thanks in advance.

A COROB decides to have Harry Dresden (from Jim Butcher's "Dresden Files" series) fight it out with John Talyor (from Simon Green's "Nightside" series), and sends both parties to an appropriate location convinced the other has to die. 1. Fight takes place in Dresdenverse Chicago. 2. Fight takes place in the Nightside. 3. Fight takes place in random ...
I'm heading back to Berlin in a week. I was wondering if Dresden's Christmas Market is back to normal, or is there still a lot of construction? I might alter my itinerary if reports are favorable. Thanks. *I'm not sure if I spelled itinerary right and I don't want to waste my time looking it up.

Ingo ... be sure to report about your trip to the Erzgebirge. Ginny and I aren't planning yet, but hope to get back there in late 2010 or sometime in 2011 (including as a part of the trip Olbernhau and Borstendorf - an ancestral visit) as well as other areas of Germany. Christmas may be a good time??? Alternatively, Sept. or May.

A week or so ago I posted in a thread that I've never been into the fantasy genre of books. This is true more or less but at the time I stated that I was reading Turncoat by Jim Butcher. It's the latest entry in his Dresden Files franchise. It centers on Harry Dresden who makes his living as a private investigaor but who also happens to be Chicago's only genuine wizard. That book had werewolves, ...

Today (or yesterday as it's now ten past one in the morning, tomorrow) was December 8th. Also known as International Pretend You're a Time Traveler Day, at least by Dresden Codak standards. Today, two people walked around Greenwich dressed outlandishly and saying unbelievable things. I was one of those two people. I was a time cop, and a friend from my filmmaking class dressed as an ...

Once again I'm ordering from Amazon. I got lucky and got to pick up some of the Harry Dresden books (numbers 3 through 6) for free. So I've ordered Storm Front and Fool Moon . I also ordered The Rediscovery of Man . This book has all of Cordwainer Smith's short fiction in one handsom block of acid-free paper! If you don't know who Cordwainer Smith is, good Lord what you've ...

Hi All I dont know a lot about Fate 3.0, except that it is being used for the Dresden Game, and that it seems to be very popular and well liked by people on this forum. I'm a great fan of "Narrative" based games - especially the latest version of Heroquest. Can anyone highlight the main differences between the two systems? Is there anything Fate brings to the table that HQ does not...
