I'm trying to change the default Thompson router that came with my Tiscali TV package to a Draytek since I need to use voice over IP and that Thompson seems to be filtering my RTP packets. Regarding the previous thread http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumi d=49&topicid=38473 I would like to state I am currently having intermittent problems with the DrayTek Vigor 120 running as a PPPoE passthrough. It worked well for a couple of months, but now needs to be restarted almost every other day. I am going to reload the latest firmware...

just wondered what people thought please ? Billion is Broadcom chipset Draytek isn't (as far as I can work out online) - but people tout the build quality of the Drayteks as being very high any suggestions please as they are similar in price thanks, Mark.

Its happening again, this has been good for months, but yesterday an incoming call came in, and was dropped after 2min 54 sec. No reason at all. Internet good, no drops. No NAT issues no port issues. Very odd indeed Using a Draytek 2820

Hi all, Does anyone know how to get CLID to work properly on VoipCheap.com using a Draytek 2820. I have verified the number for CLID no problem there. If i use their software to make a call, CLID is ok. If i then use my SIP device the CLID is witheld again. Any suggestions??

Ik denk dat het probleem de voeding is via de USB poort. Een externe harde schijf met eigen voeding al geprobeerd? Meestal werkt dit wel. Bij een router lijkt mij de noodzaak van een ultramobiele schijf ook niet aanwezig.

Ik zag toevallig gister hier op Tweakers een topic over specifiek die Draytek, waar een aantal mensen toch wel erg teleurgesteld waren door dit apparaat. Misschien kun je tussendoor even een search doen naar dat apparaat op de Tweakers fora.

Dropped again.....BRAS profile reduced again to 4500. This with a different; router (Draytek), ADSL cable, filter, no internal wiring connected and plugged in the test port plus the router PSU plugged into a different socekt and a different ethernet cable connecting me to the PC (i'm normally connected to the router via homeplugs).
