Well I didn't heed the advise to not lay down (bedtime) after you take doxy. I didn't really think it mattered. It does matter.. at least for my body it did - I also didn't drink much water that night, just a sip to get the pill down. For the past 5-6 days I've been having esophagus problems with swallowing liquids and solids, even laughing occasionally hurts. It feels like something is ...

My family doctor decided to give me some antibiotics, but we have Azithromycin monohydrate and Azithromycin dihydrate too and I don't know which one do I need. She also gives me Doxy and Rifampin. My other question is can I take them every day without pulsing them?

I have a PICC for my IV Doxy. The doc has told me IV Doxy is caustic, I drip very slow, yet after 7 weeks I have developed burning in the middle of my chest (pretty sure at the outflow point of the PICC). At first it was now and then, now it is every time I drip. I have dripped even slower, but it seems to be a losing battle as it isn't going away. I have had the Picc backed up two inches ...

I have cystic acne that i've had since I was 13 (I'm 20 now). Recently it's been getting worse so i was on anti biotics. Doxy worked perfectly for the first month then just completely stopped working. When I stopped using it my acne came back about just as bad as it was before. Now I'm on moni and it's working but I feel like a ZOMBIE. I feel tired 24/7 no matter how much sleep i get and...

Has anyone had success taking minocycline for about 6-8 months or longer, and than becoming a bit resistant ( not fully) and than switching to doxy and getting results. I know they are different but ive heard that you can become resistant to doxy even if youve only taken mino. thank you. ; )

Hello! I am new to this forum, and I am hoping someone might have an answer for me. Our Golden Ret. turned 1 on Dec 16th. She does have an anal gland issue that is being treated. My vet suggested "Hannah" be on Doxycycline for 2 weeks in case there is an underlying infection. She is also on 1/2 tsp Metamucil twice a day. We are now entering our second week of this antibiotic and 4-5 ...

Hey everyone.Since 16 I've had mild acne with a couple cysts thrown into the mix(genetics). My evil derm decided to help combat the cysts and prescribed me Ziana, Triaz and Doxy...well after about 10 weeks my acne got worse. No more cysts but a ton of flesh colored and some red inflamed bumps on my forehead and now my cheeks(never had acne on cheeks). IMO the Triaz is too harsh(6% BP) and ...

I'm taking Rifampin with Doxy and Azithromycin, and I just wanted to take Diflucan but I read it can be dangerous with Rifampin. I don't know why, I just think maybe it's too much for the liver but maybe there is another reason. My tongue is so white and my stomach is big since I'm taking ABs so I think I need Diflucan. Can somebody help me?

I was diagnosed with Lyme this past June. SInce then I have been on 100mg Doxy twice daily. While I don't believe the dose is high enough to kill the Lyme, it has caused my symptoms to settle down. My worst symptom is arthritis in my knees. I have them injected every few months and that enables me to walk. Without the injections, I cannot put weight on my legs at all. My orthopaedist ...

I've been on IV rocephin (and oral doxy/biaxin) for 4 weeks. My insurance (an anthem policy) approved the PICC line and rocephin for 1 month. I would like to continue the IV and oral antibiotics. Any suggestions on how I should approach this issue? How long do they typically allow Lyme folks to do IV before they refuse treatment? Thanks, Brad

does anyone know of treatment center to deal with this. I'm in over my head with hep c, being on prednisone and 30 yrs of undiagnosed lyme with all the other bells and whistles. I'm on my third day of doxy 50mg 2x a day and the right side of my head is ripping in pain. My family is way not ready for me to move in with any of them to do this.

Does anyone take immodium for the diarreah they get with antibiotics? I switched from Doxy to Omnicef b/c of gut trouble. The only time it's manageable is if I take immodium. And I do take immodium hours away from my antibiotic . I don't think I should be going this much do you?
