A lady I did small pruning for like hedges etc., saw me in the grocery store tonight. She said several months ago, the neighbors fireworks ignited her juniper hedge and trees. Here's a Pseudotsuga menziesii var. glauca seedling, with multiple cotyledons just coming out of the seed coat. But this seedling has only one cotyledon. Strange! Here are a few more normal ones. curly leaves

I got these cones off what i believe to be a Douglas fir. After searching the web im not so sure any more. None of the seeds have wings on them either, and they are sort of flattened. Are they fully developed, or did i pick them too soon?
