I have a domed chain that says 14kt gold on it but then on the other side of the clasp it says 989, does that mean its 14kt gold or 14kt gold plated or filled?

Hi; Would anyone know where I could obtain (purchase) some luggnuts like this one? Threaded portion is 3/4 of an inch long...the full length of the lugg, is 1 inch and 3/4. I am presently using them for Riviera Wheels. I'm thinking 3/4's of an inch of threads is not long enough (see pic)...only alittle over a half an inch is being used to hold the wheel on...Is this adequate/safe...
