Hello, I have an HP Pavillion DV9700 Notebook. Windows Vista 64 bit home prenium came pre-installed. My computer was working well for a year. My graphics card is a Radeon x1650. The version is 8.582.0.0 I've been having problems with the screen going black for a few seconds. I also get windows that overlap each other and are sometimes transparent. Someone here sent me to ATI to see if they had a newer driver. I have tried to use the device manager to update but it keeps telling me it IS up to date. When I went to ATI's website; ...

I tried setting the screen resolution both through the Screen Resolution Drop down on the component and by setting the cmiScreenResolution ... I've modified the component to not include any of the .EXE files that come with the driver but after FBA resets it still sets the screen resolution to something other then what i've specified. If i run the image with the explorer shell i can change the ...

Reinstall the video drivers. Get them only from HP for your model computer. Perhaps you inadvertently installed drivers from Windows Update. I can think of no other patch that would have come down from WU that could cause this. If updating your drivers works, great. Frankly I doubt that it will since the problem occurred after you had done the full factory restore and that would have had the ...

I'd love to know why my MacBook Pro will automatically and immediately produce a perfect full-resolution image on the 30" Cinema display when I'm running Windows 7 under Bootcamp, but in OS X.5.8 the display isn't even detected by the OS. "Detect Displays" does absolutely nothing. Macbook Pro 17"...

Hey locasciok1; First you need a Mini DVI port to HDMI adapter. Look for this on eBay or on something online. WAAAAY too expensive from Future Shop or something. In fact, never get cables from electronics stores, they are always around 5000% marked up. What you will spend $60 to $250 for in store will cost $4 online. Then, if you have HDMI input on the back of your TV (most new...
