Directing - Topic profile

There was no point to the 80s movie soundtrack that often dragged on for way to long. At first I thought I was imagining it and then I realized some moron had actually thought it to be a good idea.

I am not a "Bay hater" but do you think Bay can direct a good movie??? I am not talking about movies like transformers or bad boys 2 I am talking about a movie like goodfellas. Do you think Bay can direct a movie on the same level? the same level of story telling, twists and everything??

On the one hand, he stands to make a lot of money. And on the other, if he has other goals in sight and doesn't want to camp too long, he may hand over the reins to some other director. A director with Nolan's artistic integrity probably doesn't want to be tied down. But if you weigh the factors, I'd say he's up to the challenge of topping The Dark Knight. I'm thinking of doing my own cartoon animation short, and I don't know much about directing. I need a good book that I can learn from it how to direct my own cartoon animation short -story based on characters- in a good way, like the masters do... ;P That book should give me theories, and exercises, and more :)

Campbell's work was polished and adequate and he handled the action sequences well. A good job, but hardly the saviour of Bond.
