I have just started a new pay monthly account with Orange. My first bill date for direct debit was supposed to be on the 23rd. Two days later, another payment came out of my account (NOT from Orange). I thought I had payed the bill, but when I checked my account online, the bill still needs paying!! How long does it take for direct debit payments to get paid? i.e - the bill will say payment ...

I've had a letter off my car insurance company (Diamond) explaining that because I have missed a direct debit payment twice (single payment that they automatically re-applied to the same account for), I now have to pay the outstanding balance up front in order to continue with the policy. They're asking for £500 to be paid within 5 days of the letter else they will cancel the policy. ...

I onpened a Zero card a few months ago and on the application form requested a direct debit for the full monthly balance to be paid. My current account now shows an active direct debit instruction from Santander with my CC reference number, and on my statement this month a message on page 2 stating 'Direct Debit of £ 1.53 will be debit on of after 23/11/2009' (The £1.53 is the full balance...

Hi all Apologies if I'm starting a new thread when one already exists on this, I did check the first 10 or so pages and couldn't see anything relating to my problem, so am starting a new one!! Orange billed me incorrectly on my last bill for 2 x Non- Direct Debit charges (amounting to around £7), despite the fact that I'd set up direct debit payment (this was the first month I'd done ...

I refer to my enquiry on ticket Exetel Billing #1873173. I was basically not provided with the option of using Direct Debit. This would mean that I have choice but to pay the $1.10 charge? To quote the service rep: "For mobile services alone payment is only possible via credit card which is why you cannot change to the direct debit option now." Is this correct? I wish to pay for my mobile ...

Hi I have two issues, I'll try and keep this a brief as possible. Just over a year ago I took out a service for a mail forwarding address, which incurs a monthly fee. As a promotional offer I received a couple of months free. After this initial free period, I didn't receive any paperwork or correspondence until a couple of months later when I received an invoice with a late fee added to it....

Development- Had a letter from Natwest this morning telling me the direct debit for my loan couldn't be taken (various reasons listed) and if I need further info to go to a branch (umm no thanks). The cost should be per account, not per phone. It might be a hangover from where individual accounts were merged, but certainly worth complaining about.

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to write to Orange today and attempt to get a refund of the charges my bank will make. I've written to the bank already asking for some leniency and explaining the situation to them - as we were only £4 overdrawn and just for 1 day as I'm paid today and as it was due to a DD error, I'm hoping they might waive some / all of the charges, but we'll see! We opted ...

Canceling an account merely removes future payments, Raquetod - your account remains in a frozen state until new payment is added. Please don't hesitate to use this feature to swap between different payment options, your account is perfectly safe. :)
