So this really isnt in direct response to anything Adam has said recently. I just thought I'd have a soapbox moment of my own to rant about something that kinda bugs me about the future of gaming. Who knows? Adam, if you happen to read this and find it interesting, I'd be happy to hear your thoughts on the subject as well. Anyway, here's my long-ass rant (nice and bold, so it burns into your ...

Stardock isn't a publicly traded company, though it strives to be as open as possible about its business. This is where the annual Stardock Customer Report (PDF link) comes in, an annual assessment of the company's financial situation. Stardock, a publisher of games such as Sins of a Solar Empire, is also behind digital distribution service Impulse, which boss Brad Wardell says is the second ...

Thoughts not sure but it seems valves takes most of the money from the sales of games but i have to agree it never good to have on company in control what would happen if there was one console same thing with this. "Steam helps us as customers, but it's also a money grab, and Valve is exploiting a lot of people in a way that's not totally fair," he continued. "Valve is taking a larger share ...

Valve gives so much, its free, it has excellent prices of games, auto updates them and Valve is always giving us free things. I wish Gearbox hopped on the bandwagon and used steam for their borderlands servers but oh well :S Excellent prices? Retail prices for ...

- The Corrupt - Well, I see no problem with digital distribution on the iPhone. There's a lot of crap on there, but there are a lot of sales and the many games even get free updates that add decent amounts of content with no fuss. If Sony applied these practises, as well as the pre-order features you discussed, they'd be onto a winner with the PSP Go. While games like Gran Turismo 5 ...
