How to open password protected ebook in Digital Editions ? When trying to open a password protected file in Digital Editions it gives error: Password protected pdf not supported by this version of Digital Editions. Is there a version of Digital Editions that does support password protected pdf ? This is a very important feature for ebook publishing. Thanks.

I have been looking for, possibly an older version of digital editions compatable with my laptop which runs on os 10.3.9 I have already iinstalled it on my new i mac but would like to be mobile with my ebooks if anyone can advise it would be great

You are correct, the problem might concern the registry key for "My Documents" because my verison of Vista does not HAVE a My Documents folder in the registry. The microsoft help file explains that My Documents is now called documents (and no, Digital Editions does not work if I put the missing digital editions folder into Documents). Sorry, just saw this. This error indicates that the device in question has incorrectly done firmware. We've been having problems with some of the device manufacturers shipping devices prior to our certification (where we check for things such as the device returning the correct fingerprint information, which this one didn't). So out of more than curiousity, which device was this?...
