I did a search on dextrose and whey shakes and it seemed like most were recommending about 40g protein + 40g dextrose post workout. Those suggestions came from guys though so I was wondering if that's too much for someone my size. (btw trying to build muscle)

Is glucose the same as dextrose? Might sound stupid but im having alot of trouble getting dextrose. When i went to the natural health shop they just looked at me funny when i asked for dextrose :S I know im not allowed fructose or sucrose just unsure bout glucose (this is for my post workout shake btw) Thanks

Im going to start using creatine and dextrose for the first time. I am planning to take them both postworkout with protein, is it ok to use grape juice or is this too much sugar? I been researching and think I'm bloated from dextrose. I just put 40g of dextrose and 40g of maltodextrin. What should I take instead of dextrose? I usually made my drinks with malto and I was fine but its been 24 hours since my malto/dextrose drink and my stomach feels awful/bloated. I heard fruits are bad post workout so what should I substitute? Honey?

would it be more beneficial to use 30g dextrose and 30g maltodextrin PWO instead of straight 60g dextrose? Started thinking after I read about LG Science's perfect carb. 30g dextrose for immediate action and then 30g of the maltodextrin for slower consumption?

So say I lift for 45 mins, I wanna get my shake down me asap, so I take 50g of Whey and 50g of Dextrose or whatever, but then I wanna hit some cardio. Will the Dextrose then just be used as the fuel source for my cardio thus meaning the cardio will not burn much fat and my muscles won't receive the gylcogen replenishment needed PWO?

i took normal mono for about 12 weeks and it does **** for me and just makes me tired.so i thought id try a high performance creatine grape with mono,dextrose,glut,and taurine and after 4 weeks its made me really work harder during sessions and have energy.its totally different than mono to me.but why?surely its only mono anyway?

Hi, So for my post workout this is what I take, An isopure protein and I mix it with 1 teaspoon of glutamine and 1 teaspoon of creatine, i was also thinking of adding in some dextrose. Is it ok to take these together like that or should i be taking them separately. Or maybe adding something different.
