so ijust bought a prostock off someone locally and after a little tinkering i got it to shoot ok... but i noticed the bolt would stick on occasion... after some more timnkering i noticed when i put the detent in the bolt would stick or be stopped before fully closing... but with it out it worked great... so my question is has any heard of this and maybe help me out? i have a new detent coming ...

Im looking at getting a DM9 and was wondering if the detent issues ever got resolved? My DM6 and DM8 both had issues with the detents and I think they were known issues..is that so with the DM9 or were they resolved?

I noticed today that I had a detent just sitting on the floor. Since I only have one AR, I immediately pulled it out to check where the detent came from. Both front and rear takedown pins have their detents in place. Back in 2002 I had and Excalibur, and 2004 a Viking, and I noticed that the metal detent can be hard on brittle paint. Even after bending it back a little. I always thought it might help to make that part delrin. Any thoughts on this?

I recently drilled and studed my 870 Express for use with a sling. I used an uncle mike's stud and swivel kit, which included a magazine cap with a stud already installed. Now the police barrel I bought for HD purposes has the ball detent, but the factory 28 inch barrel does not. The mag cap that came with the kit is of the ball detent style as opposed to the express caps that have the "teeth" ...

I found a way to fix the detent for knives that use liner locks. It's pretty simple, all you have to do is find something like paper, a piece of plastic, or tape and you can make the detent stronger. I fixed the detent on my Kershaw JYD II. I took some electrical tape folded the sticky sides together and cut the piece into a small square. Then all I did was wedge it where the liner lock ...

I have an Express 870 with an aftermarket mag extension (Wilson +1). The mag extension (as most are) is designed for use with a barrel with a ball detent to secure the mag cap. Problem is new Express 870's do not use a ball detent (they use a toothed mag spring retainer which engages the toothed inner side of factory mag cap). You could always try to drill and tap the side, and put a cocker, shocker, etc spring detent in there instead. This would also provide more room for your vision eye plan as well.

I am selling my 3 month old Tru-Ball Chappy Boss with accessories. It has the lanyard, both the Talon Head and the Standard Caliper Head with the detent ball and firing pin, and also comes with the original thumb stud and a custom aluminum over-size one I turned myself.
