Took my jeep into dealer for last hurrah with warranty with a check engine light. They charge me $100 for something that should be on a code and tell me its the "leak detection pump' As far I I can tell its part of the emission system but they tell me it's not covered and its gonna cost over $500. WTF? Anyone heard of this? I am calling chrysler now and creating a BIG stink. Thats BS. ...

I took my 2006 XC70 in for a CEL today, and the diagnosis was as follows: "Leak Detection Pump Signal Missing, Check signal through VIDA - OK at this time, connection is OK. LDP Pump internal fault." They said they ran a leak test, and there were no leaks, so the pump must be bad. Dealer wants to replace LDP for $335. Where is this pump located, and how difficult is it to replace?...
