Well I want to upload music/videos onto my BB but it's not working out for me. I already installed the desktop manager from the cd that I got with the BB. When I plugged it in with the usb cord, nothing happened. The desktop manager says that it's disconnected. I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling the program but nothing has changed. I also took out the battery and reset my phone but...

I have tried a couple of times to install the Blackberry Desktop manager on my Dell laptop. My laptop has a built-in Verizon cell card and that is how I connect to the internet when travelling. When I install the Desktop manager, I can no longer connect to my internal cell card. I have used Windows XP System Restore to get my cell card back. When the desktop manager is installed, the ...

Hi everyone - I'm a newbie here and hoping someone can help. I just inherited a Curve 8320 and am trying to install Desktop Manager on my Dell Inspiron laptop. I downloaded all the software, but when I tried to install Desktop Manager, I got this message: Before you begin, verify that your current Blackberry device is connected to your computer. Easy enough, I plug it in via ...

When I saw this feature, I immediately checked my previous backup files and saw that email and lots of other data was clearly legible. WTF? Thank God for this new feature. I'm going to have to shred my old backups. There's some stuff on there that I don't want inquisitive minds finding.

Help!! I got a message last night on my computer that there was an update to the DM. It was about 250mg. Anyway...I downloaded it---then it said I had to restart the computer to take effect (normal). I restarted and it bricked my computer. ( Thanks Blackberry!) Unless anybody out there can see a solution, I am going to have to reinstall my software for the Dell. Loosing everything. ...

Hey there, I recently got a new Pearl 8120 and am trying to use the desktop manager to switch devices from my old pearl 8100. I had 4.6 installed and it recognized the old device immediately, but it wouldn't recognize the new device, so I downloaded and installed 5.0 and DM still wouldn't recognize it. Then I installed 4.3, which came with the new phone, and it still won't recognize ...

We currently have Config Manager 2007 R2 managing our server systems. We are thinking about moving from a competitor product to Config Manager for our desktops, but we have some concerns. I am hoping someone can offer some advice.  Environment: We have about 1000 server systems and 6000 desktop systems located across the world with the majority of the systems at the corporate ...

Does Microsoft have any documentation on the registry settings for the Windows Desktop Search 4.0 Gathering Manager? Specifically a registry key that would help reduce the load on a network file server.  We've found that when indexing of network home folder is enabled for only 250 of our users, that the CPU utilization on our EMC Celerra (designed to support 15,000+ users) goes to 99% ...

Could be.. But I also wonder if the profile DB is corrupt on my BB due to my BBM 5.0 Group profile settings always resetting. Or could be SmartAlerts/BerryBuzz adding 3rd party profile entries. I guess I will have to clear the DB soon and find out.
