Do you have any suggestions for a good dermatologist near Manayunk/Roxborough, or anyone that's not in center city, unless they have parking. Preferably a female doctor but will go to either. I don't find many reviews on this in the area. Thanks!

I haven't been to a Dermatologist in about two years because I gave up after having no results from the Differin I was prescribed the last I went. A bad choice, I now know, but I thought I could control my acne on my own. Here's a small list of what I've tried on my acne. Some of these items have worked and have prevented acne for a month or so, but by the time the scars started to ...

If red/pink marks (or post inflammatory hyper pigmentation) is bothering you, go to your dermatologist right now! Tell them the distress its causing you, and they will be able to arrange a suitable treatment. Only try these home remedies like ACV if you tried all else and it failed. I spent about 6 months on this forum and the internet in general, searching, buying and spending a lot, i ...

Can anyone recommend a Good dermatologist in Cebu? In the U.S. I used to get regular freeze treatments for pre-cancerous lesions. Has anyone had similar treatments here with a doctor good at recognizing skin cancers. What are the aproximate costs for visits and treatment? Thanks

This summer we took my son to a pediatric dermatologist at University of California San Francisco Medical School- supposedly the best of the best. I was hesitant to go because I know dermatologists aren't holistic enough for my beliefs, but my Dad, who's a doctor, insisted. So I went....they took a long and thorough history and very confidently told me there is no question that he just has bad ...

Hi, I have been to many dermatologists in the past but they never seemed to bother to investigate the root cause of my acne. (I remember one did, but that was in the beginning and probably because I was paying cash.) ---( Since then, after being on Medicaid for a while, the quality of care I have received is horrible. They always prescribe the same thing - antibiotics and some type ...

to ask about some vertical lines I have in between my eyebrows and horizontal ones on my forehead. I almost fell out of the patient's chair - the first thing she suggested was botox! Unfortunately here's no way that I have that kind of money but I couldn't believe that she said off the bat, "I get botox - you could do that." My mom goes to her...

I wonder how many people this happens with. It did me. When things were at their worst in my relationship with a verbal abuser, I developed a rash on the back of my leg. I went to the dermatologist to see about it. This man who knew nothing about my home life told me it was a rash called "lichen simplex chronicus" which is due to mental tension & anxiety. I was so surprised to realize the ...

Just wanted to post a quick update about Emma, as we just returned from a trip to Boston today. I had posted early this summer about some new symptoms Emma was having - psoriasis and tendon pain. We spent the summer and fall dealing with her local rheumy and a dermatologist trying to treat the issue. We grew increasingly frustrated because it seemed they were treating her symptoms ...

Hello all, Just an update on Drew. We saw a new pediatric dermatologist today for Drew's rashes. He of course, did not have one today but I took the approximately hundred pics that I have of it. The resident came in, took some history, looked at a couple of places, looked at my pics. He pulled a few out and said he had no idea what this was. He came back with the doctor who asked a few ...

I live with Erythropoietic Protoporphyria; its a rare blood disorder. I take Panhematin, Afamelanotide, B12, Beta-carotene, Morphine, and a shit load of Medical Marijuana plus go to my dermatologist for light therapy to deal with it. Then I come to these boards and read. Sometimes I laugh my ass off and sometimes I just want to kick some asses because of what I have to deal with and from all ...

Hi guys, just joined in the hope someone can help. I have had Rosacea for over a year now and ended up going private (as gp was using me as a guinea pig not knowing what the problem was) to a dermatologist who diagnosed it straight away. I was prescribed Dermol washing substitute and moisturiser and Daktacort which is a anti-fungal steroid (or so I was told). My skin hasnt been too ...

As the title says, I've been having these unusual pimple-like bumps... except they never respond to any acne meds. I first got these bumps on my chest when I was about 16 (about 10 years ago). I was being treated by a dermatologist for acne at the time, and she thought those bumps were related. When they didn't respond like the ones on my face, I was encouraged to keep using the creams....
