Any good tutorials or posts on how to derailer adjusting? the front I am fine with, but it seems like everytime I get the rear adjusted well, I go ride the bike and halfway through the ride it seems worse than when I started.... This is my first full suspension and it seems a bit touchier than previous bikes....anyway the last time I adjusted it well I had been enjoying a beer and it ...

I have an old bike with a Suntour Cyclone derailer on it which seems to be nothing but trouble. I have tried adjusting everything on it with little success. It seems to make noise no matter how much I trim it. When I get on the pedals hard I can here it making a sound like the chain is trying to jump gears. Lubrication does not affect the noise ...

After discovering my 8 speed cassette is a 11-28 I think upgrading to a 9 speed 11-34 will give me alot more advantage since I'm dropping my setup to a 1x. I know I'll need a 9 speed shifter, but can I use the same derailer for the 11-34 9 speed cassette? My current derailer is a 10 yr+ Shimano XT thats works as good as the day I got her.

Hey guys, I have a odd question. Would a med. cage derailer cause more chain slap contacting the spokes. I am currently running a med sram x-9. I do not remember if it did it before w/ the longer cage. The chain is tearing up the spokes pretty good. Chain length is correct and my shifting is apropriate for the terrain. No granny on descents or nothing like that. It seems to me the shorter ...

Chain Compatability  - 1 new post Read thread in new window

I am considering replacing the chain on my Raleigh Retro-Glyde cruiser. The bike has a Shimano Turney derailer and 7-speed Mega-Range cluster. I am considering purchasing an SRAM chain, as I understand that they have a special link that makes them easy to remove for cleaning. Will this chain be compatible with my bike, or should I purchase a Shimano-branded chain?
