Well its the 7th day here where the temperature has exceeded 100 degrees f. 4 days in a row 104 - 105 f. I thought I would do a density altitude calc. for our home strip which is 1200' amsl. I was surprised to find that right now the Density Altitude here is just under 4500'. I have not done a DA calculation for years, the highest strip I have visited in the past 10 years would probably only be ...

Love to Scott, I have seen almost all your video's on Youtube. The Sulphur Creek approach is makes our home strip look tame. Love your back country flying.

What types of DA's do you guys typically see in the area? Dyno guys, what types of correction factors do you see throughout the year? Summer? Fall? Spring? I might not have enough injector for my setup down at that altitude. Right now I typically see anywhere from a 1.25 -> 1.4 CF throughout the year. With DA's ranging from ~4,000 feet to ~9,000 feet. It's fun having n00b AMA teams ...

Hi Everyone: I called 2 different airports within 50-60 miles of each other for an asos report. Why did one say density altitude was 2500 ft. & the other 1700 ft.? What does it mean? It pertains to temp & humidity right? Why so much difference between the two? Thankyou in advance, Dreamer

I thought about starting a new thread but this one might be a good place to add this. Heat and humidity wipe me out. Blah . Cooler weather makes a tremendous difference in my energy level . Whether that has to do with my heart or not, I'm not completely certain. I've always been invigorated by cooler weather, but I've always had this heart problem also. I don't climb hills...
