I'm having a Dell Dimension 8300 laptop on which i had installed Windows xp as my operating system. It used to work fine until the last night when i tried to turn it back, i came to know that the dell amber keeps on blinking the power light. I don't know but t suddenly started to give me such problem. Can any body tell me that why does dell keeps on blinking the amber power light...

I have a Dell E510. I had the amber blinking light. My computer would take a long time to turn on then not at all. Found some info on the internet and opened up my power supply to find 3 bulging/leaking capacitors. Went to www.digi-key.com and paid about $7 with shipping for the capacitors and soldered them in and as good as new. Let me know. carlkwaz@yahoo.com
