Does anyone know how to export the data so the credits and debits are in separate columns? (Quicken Online exports just fine) After dealing with the csv.text file so that it imports properly all my incoming and outgoing funds are in the same column. Not very helpful. Thanks!

I know it can be practical to set up direct debits from the current account but unless your certain of income going in to your account when the direct debits are due to go out then of course problems do arise with a charge not just from the bank but also from the company that the money is due to be paid to. For my self, I don't make a habit of setting them up as I'm not sure I want to cope with ...

My partner was forced to retire due to ill health about 6 months ago and in October I changed our direct debit for water to come out of my account instead of his as he wasn't earning a proper wage and is on ssp. I set up a standing order which left my account in November, then I got a letter to say we owed 2 months money. I've checked his account for all of this year and the direct debit ...

( I used to use QuickBooks Pro for my business and I could swear that there was a way to de-Quicken-ify the way it reports General Ledger numbers as positive for normal and negative for contra balances. Yes, I understand that the Balance Sheet and Income Statement are supposed to show amounts that way \(BBA-Accounting...CPA since 1983\), but it is very difficult to read a G/L ...

This was suggested in a reply to the thread on What all consumers must know A few people have asked why. The main reason I can think of is that if you get into financial difficulty and you have a few direct debits, the bank will probably honour its own direct debit first and bounce the more expensive ones like credit cards. If you are in difficulty, you can save a bit of money in your ...

The banks are DEPENDING -on-you !!!! Quote: "This means our nation's financial institutions will collect some $ 1 . 8 billion during the 28-day holiday shopping season, through practices such as charging $34 for an average $17 debit card overdraft and manipulating the order in which they subtract debits from their customers' accounts. i've been with primus since they were recommended on here a few yrs ago and tbh they have never given me any hassle , i think there's only been one occaision that they had a down time for a couple of days and apart from the erratic payments of direct debits the only reason i would have to move is price i pay £14 per month - my local exchange is not unbundled , the only other provider i can see...

Hi All Does anyone out there know the rules for Direct Debits. I went BR last week but obviously have DD's to pay. I have set up an internet account with CardOne Banking, but they don't have a DD facility at the moment, I can't do standing orders as my bills vary. All the outgoings are in my SOA and budgeted for. Iam aware that my mobile phone may not be allowed by the OR, it is £25 per ...

Hi! I'm planning to apply for a Nationwide credit card sometime soon. I do have a Nationwide Flexaccount (Visa Debit), which I fund each month with £800++, with a few direct debits coming out (and the rest gets transferred out to a high-interest savings account). The Flexaccount was opened in April 09. My main account though is with Natwest, which I've used since 2006. a. When asked ...
