So what would you get if Wildhoney -era Tiamat made sweet, but forceful love to My Dying Bride? Well, I wouldn't literally know, because albums lack the proper reproductive means to produce such an offspring. But figuratively? Well, it might sound something like Mental Home . This is a pretty great band with kick-a** guitarwork and sorrowful atmosphere. Their 1996 release Vale kicks ...

Majestic Downfall is from Mexico... Gay name decent- pretty cool death doom band. Some of the better I have heard in the last year or so. They play older style MDB influenced material. Really close to a Hanging Garden(Finland) clone. But still have a rather badass sound to them. Vocals are pretty sweet in my opinion as well. And another great thing is the minimalistic keyboard ...

Although I love some melodic death/doom such as Slumber, they dont quite do it for me in the same way bands like Disembowelment do, if you feel the same way then you'll like Dusk. Myspace Dark, heavy and raw the way the genre should be cool

(Damn! I mis-spelled equal) I know there are bands considerd to be Death/Doom bands, But which bands actualy have both equaly in thier sound? (or close enough to both) My example is the band "Brutality" -screams of anguish In my opinion, this album is 60/40. 60% Death metal and 40% Doom metal. So I think this album could be considerd Death/Doom (equal parts are close enough)

This is my plug for Death Frost Doom , the perfect winter horror module for your group. It's the kind of module that's easy to digest and is near system-less (written with oD&D in mind). Podcast groups and blog sites are giving it some solid reviews, and for 5 bucks it's a DC 10 Thievery check. The art is also great for something so low-budget, and would work well for print outs to help the mood...

QUOTE (Chris Redfield @ Dec 16 2009, 01:18 AM) Burzum is kinda similar. Atmospheric and hate filled. Put it this way, without Burzum there would never have been Nargaroth (Or 100s of other BM bands). Dunkelheit Lost Wisdom Det Som En Gang Var Burzum's probably a little harsher than Nargaroth. But it's epic, hate filled, melancholic and beautiful black metal. And yeah his...
