Hi, I will be visiting both Jordan and Israel in April. I was wondering which side of the dead sea is more interesting or if it is the same. In both countries, I will be near the dead sea because I will be visiting both Wadi Mujib and Masada. Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi, I am thinking of visiting the Dead Sea for a week to see if the mud/ water/ sun will help my psoriais. Can any one recommend a reasonable hotel for a single woman traveller, on or close to the sea? Many thanks Jo

any reason why going into the Dead Sea while pregnant would be a bad idea? I was planning on taking a day trip there (I live in Jerusalem) and going in the water (I love it!). Any reason I shouldn't? Should I call my dr and ask, or is this just ridiculous? (I tried Googling - and came up with nothing) I'm 20 weeks pregnant with twins.

I didnt order mine until about 6pm on Monday so wasnt expecting it until January which wasnt an issue as its for me not a present but its just arrived now. Very happy with it. I noticed it says £65 on the side of box so if anyones got it for a gift even in the box its still impressive.

sounds like it. they aren't toxic, but they can be really nasty if they deteriorate for some time and/or ink up your tank. Ink seems to stress out everything... I had a wharty sea anemone attack a sea hare once..(yep dumb to put the two in the same tank, but i was still learning/didnt know any better), by the time I pulled the hare from the nem, the water looked like purple kool aid, everything ...

Really?? Hmm... maybe it would be worth a try. I hate going in the dead sea usually, but I have major itchy-stomach (I'm barely even showing yet!) and nothing seems to help....

Thanks, Debi - should not be missed. Moti - as Dr Z said - the OP didn't express a desire to stay in the most hotels on the Dead Sea - but to stay in the best hotels in the Dead sea - and the Kempinski, the Marriott, the Holiday Inn, and the Movenpick are all on the Jordanian side. Hi, Like A99 said, the most reasonably priced hotel at the Dead Sea is Dead Sea Spa Hotel. HI i believe the sunset from the Jordanian side is spectacular sight. You need also to consider on how convenience it is to get to the Dead Sea.It is not easy cos there is no public transport from the Jordan side you need to rely on private car/ taxis happy travel from damascushostel
