Has anybody ever had a condensation warning on their DVX100 (water droplet icon on screen)? I dont believe my heads have gone bad because it glitches but very sporadically and just on the edges and with some audio drop outs. I handnt used my camera for about 30 days, when I went to go use it for the first time I found this problem. If anybody has any ideas on how to fix/ prevent this... ...

Hey DVI members, I'm currently attending film school, and for one of our projects we had to film someone else's one page script. This is footage I shot on a camera I booked out, a DVX100. I shot it in 4:3 format, because I read something about the DVX not having true 16:9, and I have not shot in 4:3 in a long time and thought to try it again. As for the video, it's not a complete story. It's ...

I captured a bunch of footage shot on the dvx100 at 30p. I can tell it is progressive by viewing the footage and seeing no traces of "combing". However, when I open the files in MediaInfo Mac -- it lists the footage as "interlaced". I'm wondering if 30p is always captured as a 60i file -- or if this is just an error on MediaInfo's side. When exporting this footage to MPEG-2 for DVD, does any ...

Hi, I shot a video on a Panasonic dvx100 in 24standard. When I capture to my computer and render my video with effects, it does a kind of little shake effect, and the quality is not that good. So i am a novice with a DVX100 camera. I was wondering if someone could help me understand what each different shooting mode does as far as image display? What is the difference between having progressive off and on? What is the difference between 24p and advance 24p Should I always be shooting in 24p? Thanks

Hallo. Ich setze es mal in den OffTopic, da ich nicht weiß ob es ein "richtiges" Thema" ist, bzw. wohin es passen würde. Ansonsten verschieben. I'm buying a dvx100 that has around 450 hours on the heads. How much hours can the dvx100 handle? and how much hours do i need to go? I guess this guy managed to maintain the heads cause it comes with a head cleaner. edit * also another question. If i film 16:9 on the dvx100 and use a capture camera to upload. will it come out as 16:9 when i upload it?

A wonderful camera the EX1-R, as most facelifted versions are (think so-so DVX100 to excellent DVX100A). Friendlier than AVCHD, yes, and you can use SDHC as well. VX2000 to EX1-R. An excellent leaf-frog of all the middling also-rans if you want my opinion. tom.

I'm not sure if there is a cure for your problem. When I upgraded from the dvx100 to the HD200U I had/have the same problem. I was consistently losing the first and last 3 or 4 seconds when I pressed the record button. I've looked into it and people told me thats just how it it is. I hope there is an answer since I gave up trying to find it... Instead I just changed my shooting ...
