I shot footage with an HVX200 using P2 of course. The client wants the raw files, problem is the client doesn't have FCP and can't read or transfer XMF files and doesn't have the DVCPro HD codec of course because he doesn't have FCP. He doesn't want to buy, and shouldn't have to, anything like Calibrated Software's Calibrated{Q} DVCProHD Decode for OSX, which costs around $70. He ...

Hi, I have rendered couple of clips in Blackmagic format DVCPRO compression, in native resolution and aspect of DVCPRO, but I can't play them on my INTENSITY equiped machine. MEDIA EXPRESS says that format is not supported, in Media Player I hear only audio, Media player classic don't play it also! I have latest drivers, Premiere pro cs4 4.2 and Exported via MEdia encoder with latest ...

I wasn't getting any help in the Quicktime forum, so I thought I'd try here. For some reason, my DVCPRO HD Quicktime clips are not playing correctly with the Quicktime player. The play head is continuing to move after the end of the clip is reached and as you can see, the time remaining is not correct. The playhead in this screen capture is at the actual end of the clip's duration, ...

Hopefully someone has figured this out. Can anyone tell me what happens when you add a prores HQ clip to a native DVCPRO-HD sequence in FCP? I work with animators/compositors that give me footage rendered in animation CODEC and proresHQ from AfterEffects CS4. Since I am cutting this into my video project I have traditionally set my sequence to match my DVCPRO-HD footage acquired from...

We just recently upgraded to a Panasonic HPX170 and love the camera. We want to get another one but money is tight and we are now looking at the new HMC40. The HPX170 files are transferred in as DVCPRO HD and reading up on the HMC40, it looks like the files will be transferred in as AVCHD. Has anyone had any luck creating multiclips in FCP with the two different file formats? Or are we going to...

I have a .mov file that was recorded in Adobe Onlocation CS4 Mac that seems to have gotten corrupted. The codec is the Panansonic P2 DVCPRO HD recorded in 720p30. When I try to open it in FCP. I get a message that says: File Error: 1 file(s) recognized, 0 access denied,1 unkown When I try to open it up in Quicktime it says: The movie could not be opened. The file is not a movie file....

Hi How do 1080 DVCPRO HD 24p and XDCAM EX HD 24p differ within FCP? I understand FCP sees the DVCPRO stuff as 29.97 and that the pulldown needs to be removed...(after scouring posts have found a number of suggestions on how to do this...) Also notice there is no capture preset in FCP for DVCPRO HD 1080 24p.... However apparently the XDCAM stuff is showing in the bin as 23.98 ...

I am trying to build a Blu-Ray disk in encore from a movie recorded in DVCPro HD. When I bring the movie into Encore it comes up with seven gray bars as if the proper codec is not installed on the machine. I have FCP installed on the machine and the vide comes up properly in other apps. Any suggestions? Can I download a DVCPro HD codec for Adobe encore or media ecoder? I am...

Using DVCPro HD 1080i/60 footage in FCP6. Timeline sequence setting is same as footage. Output to Sony HVR M15U coming across looking jagged. Output using Firewire Port, HDV/DV settings on Sony tape deck. I see the picture on my monitor, the video plays back but it looks jagged. Anyone know why?

How to Rip DVD to AVI for Final Cut Pro on Mac? As we know, Final Cut Pro supports all most video formats, like DV, SD, HDV, DVCPRO HD , even HD uncompressed and so on. Therefore, with it, we can easily and fastly edit almost videos. But there is another problem that we may meet that is how to edit DVD via FCP. To solve the problem, the following two questions we ...

Hello, I am doing some work in After Effects on the PC for use in FCP on a Mac. Although I am sure that this question has been asked before, I need to get it into the proper codec which is dvcpro HD. Is there a way to do it reliably and effectively on the PC so that FCP won't have any issues reading it in? Otherwise, I don't mind doing it on the editor's machine. My question is, ...

Ok I am finishing a past project of creating DVDs from VHS. Ok I have my clips captured they are DV-DVCPRO NTSC. I used audio filters to remove the audio hum from the VCR. I want to remove the black border from the side and top of the video. Now my question is if i scale the video to fit wont that offset up the fields. I am expecting to have 60i footage when I'm done. Should I ...

I'm using Compressor to create the, is it m2v, for an HD dvd. It's a 7-minute animation, from a sequence that is DVCPRO HD 1280x720p30. Should I use the H.264 or MPEG-2 setting? I see the MPEG-2 is for a 30-min dvd and the bps is higher, but maybe the H.264, though for a 60-min dvd, provides better quality. I'll use DVDSP to make the next step and then Toast to burn the dvd.

I think that's correct. Only if it is given as a special feature: My Sony dsr1500AP deck can playback both. But fcp cannot read the dvcpro FireWire stream from that. A I'd can. The analog signal output works for both... But I think 'normal' dv camera's cannot. Rienk MacPro dual Core...

HDcam is 1080i only, and 29.97. if you captured it at 59.94, thats your problem right there. as for a panasonic VTR, which one ? DVCpro HD ? or D5 ? while 720 transports at 59.94, the actual frame rate can be anything from 1-59.94. standard rates of course are 23.976 and 29.97. sorry to hear about your problems.... I just don't go thru these problems with my, ah, MXO2's :| Steve ...
