So yesterday I went heavy on deads and almost immediately after finishing my set I noticed my back was very stiff and that bending it more than a few degrees set off a fair amount of pain. It's now the morning after and while it's not quite as bad, I'm still a little concerned. Do you guys know if this would be a muscular injury or something wrong with my spine? I have no pain just sitting/...

To me it always went without saying that forearms get a great workout from deads. In fact since it's strength training I'm into and not bodybuilding, even more for me, it's not so much about the size. It puzzles me though that pretty much all the articles I read about deads mention the forearms as getting "some" work in the lift. And I've read them almost all, I love this exercise. How can ...

Hey, someone's selling these Day of the Deads, and I'm not sure if they're real or not. Sorry he only has one tagged image, hope that's alright. Thanks!

So...speaking of bro vidz lol.. Anyway, here's a quick vid of a set of 10 (only 9 in the vid) DL's. I've been reading about Barry Ross' speed training and trying to implement some of his DL ideas, thus the reason I'm doing them a little faster. and putting my hips out a bit more. Plus, in this case, it was only 205lb's. All bumpers, 2-45's, 2-25's, 2-10's. So, critique away. ...

Can you get maximum triceps growth by just doing presses and chin-ups? Also do I need to do calf raises or will my calves grow just through squats and deads?

Any get paranoid about this? I was doing deads this morning and two blood blisters developed and proceeded to burst.. didn't notice until after I was done w/ my sets that there was blood all over my hand and the BB. I washed my hands thoroughly and wiped down the barbell then soaked my hand in hydrogen peroxide a few minutes ago, but I still feel like I could pickup AIDs or some nasty infection...

Sicko Obama/FED war profiteer > > When these ruthless criminal liars would stop the nonsense -- the blood of millions of deads is on the greedy bastards' hand and damn kids. What kinds of damned fathers teach their kids to steal, to deceive, and to kill for money

Over the last couple years, I have become a real fan of the barbell high pull. It really is an effective exercise and I believe it stands on equal footing overall with rows, deads and cleans. This is not an attempt to prove it is the best back exercise on the planet, but to give some of my thoughts on why it is a worthy tool in the training toolbox. When I refer to the high pull, I simply ...

I am currently training for a bench only comp. which is in March 2010. I'd like to take this period of time to push the squat/deadlift aside and work on GPP that targets the lowerbody. My goal is to help improve lowerbody strength & endurance . As awesome Squat/Deads are, the joints on my knees could use time off along with my lower back from a minor injury in the past. That being said, which ...
