In the simple database projects, I used to be able to right click a stored procedure and run it against a database, and included in the script, were the drop, create, and grant permissions. With DB Pro, this is no longer possible (or at least it yells at me if I have anything other than a create proc statement). Thus, in order to make a change to a proc and then test it, I have to manually ...

DB Pro will automatically update your target database for you. Simply modify your sprocs, tables, permissions, whatever and run Deploy. Note that you need to define your permissions in the .permissions XML file. So, change your process to: 0) deploy your solution, 1) implement your DAL code, 2) run your DAL unit test, 3) fix your sproc, 4) rinse and repeat. DB Pro figures out the correct ALTER,...

I am trying to do a Schema Compare between my project and the dev database and VS 2005 crashes when it gets to the part "Comparing Databases". I can compare the test database to the dev database, but as soon as my project is involved it crashes. I found another post that had instructions on how to enable logging and here is the error from the log... [Pid=7532;Tid=1;Time=14:38:47]: ...

I figured out the problem. I racked my brain trying to figure out what I recently installed. I looked at the Add-In Manager and I had recently installed an update to BIDS Helper and SQL Prompt v4.0. I disabled all add ins and schema comparisons worked. I re-enabled 1 add in at a time and found the SQL Prompt was causing the issue. Marked As Answer by Oliwa Thursday, September 17, ...

Hi Ed, Not sure what went wrong, most likely there is a database reference missing or did not get updated correctly. If you want you can send me a zipped copy of the project and I will look at it for me. Please send it to gertd at dbproj dot com

uhh, can you say 3 wood? A nice high draw 3 wood sounds like the play to me. Why is the only choice a 5 iron or a driver? Why not a 3 wood, 5 wood, or hybrid. BTW - your bagging to drivers reminds be of another DB pro. Do you have moobs by any chance?

Okay well I would be happy to know what vbulletin did to fix their software. Feel free to send us your ftp info as well as the url admin login. The issue is really something in your server hosting setup if it affects every piece of software on your site. If I can figure out why its doing it we can fix it but personally have never seen this issue.
