cgw, the tramadol interaction with Cymbalta that Trout mentioned is the serotonin syndrome described above. There are several serious potential drug interactions with Cymbalta ... he should read the complete prescribing info carefully. As for the Chantix - the brain has many receptors. Ask a pharmacist or look up the "complete prescribing information" online to see what they have to say there.

I too hav eno experience with cymbalta but wanted to encourage you to keep fighting to get your disease treated. I am sorry your reflexes were not normal and hope you find a cause and solution soon.

Hi Miriam, I couldn't tolerate Cymbalta so my rheumy put me on Savella and I actually lost about 10 lbs since I started it 5 months ago. I haven't had any bad side effects either. Savella is a SNRI and it helps keep your serotonin level up. I have found it has helped me. Good luck to you, hoping you find something that works for you! Hugs Robin

How long does it normally take to get adjusted to these antianxiety meds? I feel like the cymbalta is working a little bit because I am able to do things I used to enjoy doing. But at the same time I still have this foggy feeling. How long does that foggy feeling normally last with new meds?

Okay, now I understand why you can't take hormones. What about bio identical hormones? I'm glad to hear your seeing the Dr next week. I really don't think Cymbalta Cymbalta is the med for you since you do have anxiety, unless you can add an antianxiety med to it. . Take care. Remar

I'm new to this board. My rheumatologist wants to put me on Cymbalta. I was curious about how it was working. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia about 10 years ago. I also have hypothyroidism and my primary care suspects chronic fatigue syndrome too. The Cymbalta would replace the Lexapro at night to help me sleep and hopefully help with the pain.
