With the minivan segment continuing to diminish in the marketplace, Toyota has unveiled its all-new 2011 Sienna as more of a significantly refreshed version. It's not a huge departure from the previous generation model, but it does get a long list of upgrades including a new interior and exterior as well as a new standard 4-cylinder engine. Past Siennas were only available with the ...

A RADICALLY NEW TYPE OF ENGINE by John McElroy - Autoblog When oil prices shot over $100 a barrel a year ago, I was inundated with press releases from inventors claiming they had an engine that would solve the energy crisis. In most cases, I simply deleted each release and went on with my work. You see, I've seen this all before. The same thing happened after the oil shocks of ...

Noticed in the latest C.R. that the LaCrosse is offering a 2.4 engine option...I think that one of the dumbest things G.M. can do...Why would they take a overall nice car and offer a 2.4 option to it...That makes no sense to me at all. That is just as bad as Chrysler offering a 2.7 in the Charger and 300...I think the 2.4 is worse. The LaCrosse offers a 3.6 option that has 280 HP...That shoud ...

G'day As some of you may be aware I run a team of students in the RACV Energy Breakthrough www.racvenergybreakthrough.net which is a 24 hour "race" with limits on the amount of fuel able to be used. In my case 3 litres is allocated for the 24 hours. Our vehicle is running a GX31 (soon to be GX35 after stuffing the old one) and to gain an economy advantage I am thinking of fuel ...

I recently purchased a 06 Fusion with the 4 cylinder engine (60,00 miles) love the car, hate the noisy engine at start up or first moving, it's a deep rattle noise maybe from the intake somewhere, is this common with this engine? The noise kind of reminds me of a jake brake noise on a truck! Is this a problem or just a noise to live with? I drove a 07 model it was noisy too, not quite as loud as...

Remove all Advertisements I just got my KDX220 cylinder back from Millennium and the replating process removed all the paint from the outside (it would have been nice of them to tell me about this beforehand ). Does anyone know what paint would match what the factory applied? I've done some searching and it seems PJ1 makes engine paint. Their ...

Quote: When the swoopy new 2011 Sonata goes into production at Hyundai's plant in Alabama early next year, it won't offer a V6 engine anymore, but it will get the company's first ever direct-injected engine. This week in South Korea, Hyundai took the wraps off its 2.4-liter Theta II GDI four-cylinder. Like similar engines from other automakers, Hyundai's engineers have taken ...

Hi, so far the entry level car of the F10 5 series is 523i with a 6 cylinder 3 liter petroline engine. I am wondering any news about 520i with 4-cylinder 2 liter engine with or without a turbocharger? Will it be released in the near future? Thanks.

Hello. You can use a quality hi temp paint from your local automotive store but it won't be an exact match. Who cares after a few rides anyway? Go hot pink, you'll be the envy of the trails :-) On the plating process, they have to remove the paint before they put it into their strip tank to remove the old chrome. If they don't get all the paint, grease, or other debris off the ...

Mark, Why don't you have Charles at LN Engineering make a set of cylinders to fit your current JE's that will mate up with the 2.7 heads,.......... Its the best of both worlds without going broke doing this and part of maintaining domestic harmony.

Yeah,i had so many combustion problems its not even funny,i had a exhaust valve bent on cyl #6,therefore my compression was 20PSI where all piston scored 140-145 SO! by all means....long story short : you might have a bent valve BUT! you never know untill you run a compression test...you might get lucky and wont have to remove the head.. These valves on the on the bmw heads are ...
