A lot of 406/416 owners don't realize there is a particulate dump port in the back of these units that is usually plugged up. This is for the trapped dirt/debris to fall out of the cyclonic pre cleaner. Keeping this unit healthy should help reduce the need for changing the kinda pricey paper air filter and less clean up of the messy oil bath unit. Just passing it on, Jay Couch Off-...

Courtesy Philip Eden November 2009 was relentlessly cyclonic, to such an extent that the cyclonicity index (mean sea-level pressure of 5 grid-points: 60N10W, 60N 00, 55N 5W, 50N 10W, 50N 00 ) was the lowest for November and the second lowest for *any* month (after Feb 1990 ) in 137 years of records. There was also an enhanced SW-ly flow over the British Isles: it ranked 28th for ...

QUOTE(L1nk1g @ Dec 4 2009, 03:57 PM) Here's a free tip . The Scandinavian anti-cyclonic high pressure will form 100% . But it wont be only at Scandinavia , it will be in Britain , just north of Spain , west France , so it will block the cold air from that places ... or i better do it again with pictures.. Here's my opinion . there are 2 possible cases for this winter , and both of...

QUOTE(stormguy80 @ Dec 6 2009, 04:43 PM) sorry but I really don't thinks so. I'd be nice though:) This explains the situation best: MOST RUNS HAVE INDICATED A DEEPENING LEE LOW NEAR NEW MEXICO OR THE TEXAS PANHANDLE BY TUESDAY, INTENSIFYING AS IT MOVES TOWARDS THE LOWER GREAT LAKES ON WEDNESDAY. LATEST 12Z RUNS SUGGEST A SLIGHT NORTHWARD DRIFT IN THIS TRACK..PERHAPS HEADING TOWARDS...

QUOTE(hckyplayer8 @ Dec 6 2009, 08:22 PM) Depending where you are at. No. For wedge CAD you need three things 1. Anti cyclonic flow to the North locking the lower level cold in place. 2. Cyclonic flow to the South pumping warm air North over the cold air. 3. Abrupt changes in elevation (mountains). Just because you are at a lower elevation, don't mean you will hold onto the cold ...
