I don't know much about African Violet cuttings and how they grow. I have read here that at least until they form roots they should only get water, and preferably distilled, because solutes in the water can inhibit the cutting from taking in water. Once they form roots, however, is the leaf feeding itself or does it need a fertilizer to help it? If you do fertilizer, is the fertilizer ...

I just severely pruned back my 3 potted trees and would like to try starting some cuttings in the spring. I have about 25 10" pieces right now, do I need to do anything other than put them in a plastic bag in the refrigerator?

I've got to trim some of the plants that are moving in for the winter. I've got cuttings of Epiphyllum oxypetalum (night blooming cereus), Murraya paniculata (orange jasmine), and Trachelospermum jasminoides (Confederate jasmine). I have no idea how well the last two will root, but the Epiphyllium roots very easily in water, despite being a succulent. The postage on this shouldn't be much. ...

Hi guys, I've had a cutting for over a month now, and absolutely nothing is happening to it. Is it time to discard it, or is there still hope? Using the plastic baggie method, as well as others in perlite/soil. Thanks, Jen

Hi Scott Saw your remarks about you growing Iceberg Roses. I have quite a few - they propogate very well from cuttings. Here are a couple of the oldest standards . They flower and flower all year around. There is only a couple of months they are without flowers. One is pure white the other bush always has a pink tinge to the buds

Hi all I have got to speed things up for various reasons, so due to time, I may have to force flower when the plants only get 12 inchs tall in veg, from seed. Will there be anything worth taking cuttings at 12 inchs tall? Will the plant get screwed up if its force flowered at 12 inchs, instead of maturity, like go hermie. If anyone growing in soil, from seed, has flowered at 12inchs tall...
