I'm looking to buy a tire inflator which plugs in to the 12V power supply on the car. Some of them have a current rating of about 15 amps. Before I order, I want to know what's the max current rating on the cigarette lighter charger. Has anyone used any of these tire inflators and any recommendations for VW passat?

So, I just bought a graphics card that requires a 350W power supply, and I picked up a 400W power supply with it. Except now I realize that the card also says of the required power supply that it must have "a minimum 12V current rating of 18A," and this power supply I bought apparently only has a max of 10.0A, as far as I can tell. The significance of this is lost on me. So my question is, how ...

Is a 1amp switch OK for switching a single 3' standard fluorescent light, please? I've come across one which would suit my application (automatic switching on wardrobe doors), but it says it's not suitable for fluorescent lights. I can only assume it's to do with startup current (?). Out of interest, what would be the startup current?

Hello, I would like to use the "PT4" 1:1 Pulse Transformer by Oxford Electrical Products to drive the high-side MOSFET in my offline two-transistor-forward-converter. (100KHz switching frequency) Here is the datasheet for the “PT4” ********** http://www.farnell.com/datasheets/13727.pdf However, in the datasheet, it says that the maximum output pulse current is 200mA (peak) This is bad ...
