So far I have that (.37g)(1 mol/249.685g)......... I calculated mass percent O in CuSO4*5H20 so I can have a ratio but I dont know if i'm still on the right track with this...... Please assist. Thanks!

An aqueous solution of CuSO 4 has a pH around 4. That means there are more H + ions than OH - . Since the H + ions come from dissociation of water, there must be an equal amount of OH - . Where have all the OH - ions gone? I suppose they are locked up as Cu(OH) 2 . However, the latter is highly insoluble in water. So why doesn't Cu(OH) 2 precipitate out? I ...

There are 3.72g of CuSO4 - 5H2O I have instructions that say "Calculate the mass of water contained in the hydrate by calculating the molar mass of the hydrate and determining the mole ratio of the water of hydration." The instructions seem simple enough, but I honestly have no idea what to do. Please helppp

Hey why is Sn^+2 when i look at the periodic table the outermost shell has 4, should it be -4 as the charge? for example tin displaces copper metal from CuSO4 solution Sn^+4 + CuSO4---> Cu + Sn(SO4)_4 thanks
