Hi, I'm in the process of cleaning up all the pieces on my engine prior to putting it back in. I was cleaning the rear engine mount(cross bar + mount console) and noticed that the bar was pretty well bent. What are your thoughts? Is it worth it to hammer it back to straight? Should I just get a straight used piece? Pictures:

for those that are interested. and just so everyone knows, there are alot of rocks up there. this is also depending on the weather, 45-50 is probably the coldest we well ride in. rain does not effect this place like it does red river or rocky ridge, but i would also say it is not for the timid either. there are some little climbs that you need to commit to climb them easily.

I got a cross bar from someone which claim it is for 08+ XC70. When I installed it The front is fine, but the rear seems to be an inch too long and cannot fit between the rail. I measure both bar and they are the same length. The rail is an 1.5" different from the front to back. Is there any one out there has a similar cross bar and make me a measurement. The cross bar is the aluminum wing ...

There's little to counter-hold the end of the mount bar while removing/replacing the engine mount bolt, so it was probably bent when the engine was removed once upon a time. If you can straighten it, fine, but either way, I'd suggest drilling out the existing threads and use a through bolt, washer and nut; same as the orig. motor mount bar in '73. The later motor mount bar uses just a threaded ...

I knocked this down today and the 34R Optima battery is a nice replacement. While the factory battery holder is designed for the factory battery, I added a couple of Azek shims under the cross bar, and drilled two small holes in the azek to hold the positive terminal safety cover that is part of the factory battery. Given the way in which these terminals are setup and the amount of exposed ...
