The transmission that is in my car now was just recently rebuilt as it had a critical speed issue at 140mph. It was smooth as silk until then, and vibrated like the transmission was going to come through the floor at anything above. I put the single piece in and it was even more noticeable. I took the transmission to a local builder and the mainshaft was bent, the tailshaft bushing was completely...

Hi, my machine is 1x1.5 so is it ok to put 1 ballscrew in the middle of the axis and this move the 25kg gantry in 1500mm length? This link includes calculators and here you can calculate the critical speed of the gantry..so given the 16mm ballscrew diameter in 1500mm length with end fixity=D, we take 1917RPM... I'll be happy with ~400IPM rapids and ~200-250IPM cutting speed in wood... ...

Hi All I've had 24 hours to think about the problem of 'no sparks' and a new thought has struck me. During the starting procedure, is there a minimum crankshaft rotation speed below which the ECU will not produce spark trigger pulses? Put it another way, is there a critical cranking speed that has to be reached, or exceeded, before the ignition phase is started? With 'points' you could ...

You have about three to five seconds to capture a visitor's interest before they move on. 10 to 20 seconds is far too long for a Flash object to load if it is a critical part of your web page or message. The speed with which a Flash object loads is dependent on a number of things including: - The size and complexity of the Flash object. Generally the larger the file, the longer it will...

Cary striped local low-speed low-volume residential collector streets with bike lanes because the general public and non-cycling engineers have been told by non-critical bike lane advocates that bike lanes are required to be bike friendly, especially to novices. In surveys, the novices and non-cyclists said that they would never ride on the arterials, but that they might ride on...

I've used the RPS servers - had one of the dual atom's for a while and used it for remote desktop / test bed - I wasn't so bothered about the write speed personally as it wasn't for anything critical, they are good for personal and non serious usage.
