I have a recipe from my deceased grandmother for Creme Pie (so I can't ask her) Ingredients: 1/2 pint whipping creme 1 pt 1/2 and 1/2 1 c sugar shake of salt 3 slightly rounded T flour 1 t vanilla mix and pour into pie shell, sprinkle with nutmeg, bake 325 in glass pan 45-60 minutes. I am getting the omipod and I need some creme to get the sticky stuff off.I don't need any numbing we tried baby oil gel to get this one part off it just slid off of my skin we got it off but it still kind of hurt. I need some ideas of creme that really works for you.

I was planning to make my own creme fraiche--acc. to Silver palate, can be done by mixing sour cream with heavy cream and letting sit out for up to 24 hours... except I missed that they called for NOT ultra-pasteurized cream and yes indeed my cream is ultra pasteurized (Organic Valley). Anyone have any idea how much this really matters?
