Crankshaft Angle Sensor Hey everyone! I am needing some advice on a problem I am having with my 92 TT. I was driving it, and as I turned the corner, I lost all power. I am able to crank it over, but it will not fire up. A friend of mine believes that it is a crankshaft angle sensor. Any and all input is welcome. Thanks....

I've been keeping these to build a nice 2.5 They've been stored for over 10 years. - Crankshaft main bearing journal is .5 under ( second oversize) and the rod journals are also .5 under. I'm looking to get $500 - the rods are std std one looks to be a little different shade than the other 5 but they're off the same crank. $500

A bearing on the rod on the crankshaft is done. Can thes crankshafts be taken apart or are they one piece. I've priced a new crank at the local dealer & they want $1,000 with taxes. I refuse to pay that much. I've looked on the web for new & with shipping the best deal is about $700. Still too much. I tried a few local used parts dealers to see if they had an engine or crank, but none. Anyone ...

Hey, Does anyone know if the oil slinger can be reattached to the crankshaft? My crankshaft's slinger is broken off and now spins on its own. This engine is installed in an experimental aircraft, so no certification is necessary on the engine repair. Gary

Its not above the oil filter where it is on the pre-2003 engines. its not hidden behind the "structural collar" like the book i bought told me. I heard from one person that it is "between the first and the second bolt down on the bell housing" on the transmission. but that doesnt really make too much sense when you look at it in person. If anyone has ever changed the CKP sensor on a 2003-2005...

I would like to check the timing on my 2003 1.9tdi diesel passat automatic. Is it possible to do this without moving the 'lock plate carrier' to the service position? I can set the camshaft sprocket to tdc by removing the top cambelt cover and inserting a metal dowl through the alignment holes between the sprocket and the engine block, but how do I check the crankshaft for tdc? If it ...
