Well I decided to get stuff ready because I was going to plan on getting my cam cover powdercoated. First thing I did on it was try to take the crankcase ventilation hose that is on the backside of it. I squeezed the clamp and tried to slide the hose off, nope not going it's stuck on. So I slid the clamp back further, and WTF. The rubber was missing in areas where the clamp has sat on it, I could...

Hello all. I have a 2005 Mustang V6 with 56,500 kms on it. The owners manual recommends that I "replace the engine crankcase filter." at 50,000 kms. I have used the search feature on the forum and can't find any threads on how to do this. What is the engine crankcase filter, where is it located and how do I change it? Any assistance would be very much appreciated. Andy

I just got a new intake (K&N Typhoon) and was about to install it. I noticed that the picture of the car they used had an L shape connector coming off the motor and mine on the 2010 looked straight. Has this changed between 2008 and 2010? Also, my assumption was that an intake for a 2008 would work on a 2010. Did I assume right?

I have heard different ways on how you should fill oil. 1) Fill to lower mark when engine is cold, top mark is for 'hot' level. 2) Fill to top mark, cold engine The manual indicates "between low & high before riding..." so that seemes to say "fill to 'F' mark when the bike is cold". I did that; and then started the bike up, ran it thru the gears, and waited; it was low, so I added ...

A couple years ago there was a big write up about changing your crank case sensor for about$20. or so and having your engine run hotter, by running hotter you would get about 2-4 more mpg. When you buy a Smarty jr is this doing the same thing? retarding or advancing the timing on the trucks? If not Smarty which boxes will change our timing to run hotter. They are set to run cooler for ...

I was trying to trouble shoot an issue on my truck. I read some guy decided to plug his breather tube up on the pcv valve, and in return he got better millage. I also had pulled the large main tube off while the pcv valve going into the crankcase was running and plugged it with my thumb and I noticed my engine rpms lowered, I guess because at that point it needed less suction. So what are the ...
