I am so blown away by this poem! This must be what it feels like to be V... Helen of Troy Does Countertop Dancing The world is full of women who'd tell me I should be ashamed of myself if they had the chance. Quit dancing. Get some self-respect and a day job. Right. And minimum wage, and varicose veins, just standing in one place for eight hours behind a glass counter bundled ...

I'm in the midst of a major family room remodel and we need some granite for a small countertop and around the fireplace. When I went to look at the granite sampels I saw a Silestone counter on display which was exactly the colors I was looking for. I showed it to my contractor a few weeks back and he has been trying to talk me out of it ever since. I have a great deal of respect for my ...

Advice Wanted: Tiling a Granite Countertop? Any advice before I start tiling a granite countertop? This will be for our kitchen. After 3 tiling jobs, I've learned to ask for help BEFORE I start. Thanks in advance, -- Jason __________________ Jason

We recently remodeled our entire kitchen.  After the granite countertops were installed (L-shaped counters), we noticed the smaller run was not level.  Using a level, the bubble is just touching the left line.  The run is approximately 8 feet and drops ¼ inch over the distance.  Do you think we should accept this minor problem?  Also, how can we minimize the visual error when we install the tile ...

Yes; just what the title of the thread states; I am in need on of a good one ASAP (looking for reasonable cost so I'm not looking necessarily for the very best).

i'm reading so many poor reports about the well known names. if you had countertops or flooring changed and had a good experience, could you let me know which place you went with? i'm looking at costco, lowes and home depot as well but would like the names of some reliable local firms as well. also, any advice you can give to an utter newbie, would be SO appreciated. thank you!

I have a question; I am wondering how you would go about beveling the edge of some marble tile on a countertop without using a tile saw? I want a more round edge rather than like a flat 45 degree angle? Im really new to this sort of stuff so I apologize of my question is unclear. What do you need for that sort of chore?

Over the last five and a half years, we've slowly renovated our house room by room, as we had money and time. A slow progress, but we're almost done. The last thing to do is tackle our 1964 main bathroom. When we moved in, we replaced the rotten countertop and sink, new taps and toilet, but he rest is still the way it was when we moved in, i.e. original 1964 chocolate-brown bathtub (gross) ...

Here's what I've been working for a bit. It is built to Finnish metagame with lots of tribal aggro (especially Merfolks) and at least in MWS, it seems quite dominating pre-board and very dominating post-board against tribal aggro. Also, it has good match-ups against CounterTop, Affinity and has won other decks I can't recall, and a bad match-up against Burn and rogue decks (it crushed Dragonstorm...

Good afternoon good people: can you help me understand how the seam may look like in the light quartz - such as Caesarstone eggshell - I am changing my countertop choice from cinder to egshell - almost light, with tiny speckles - and I have just a couple of days to do it - I am so afraid that it may be too obvious - can you please provide pics? And whether it is better to have the seam ...

Being on a well I have learned we need to boil our bottles/nipples for 5 min on the stove top. I am curious if I could use the countertop steam sterilizer if I used my filtered drinking water that is filtered via reverse osmosis. It's the system under our sink. Thanks in advance Charleen

This is cool, but I think my cat would still prefer our countertop and laundry piles (link below): Here is a link that might be useful: Cat-friendly house designs

Benissimo has a system of granite tiles with a 1 inch thick rounded profile edge. They have corner pieces and everything. I just finished a large kitchen with the system. __________________ -------------------------------------------------- - Jason Wollbrink Custom Tile, Stone, and hardwood installation Lynchburg ...

We are in the middle of getting a whole new kitchen. We had decided on quartz for countertops. But when we compared the quartz color we liked to the granite color we liked the quartz looked cheap. Quartz just has little chips of granite in it. Granite is natural stone. Judy
