I'm currently reading a book ("Cat Confidential: The Book Your Cat Would Want You to Read", but a German copy) written by the British cat counsellor, Vicky Halls, and I have to admit it makes me feel a bit guilty, and bad. The author is very much against keeping cats indoor. According to her, most behavioral problems are a result of indoor keeping, and after reading her book, it seems to me...

Hi people If you've been keeping up with my posts, you'll know that physically I am a 28year old man and whilst I am very intelligent and clued up on the "theory" behind Relationships, Sex, Dating and the Psychology behind it etc. You'll also know that I have never had a Girlfriend in my life. So it is safe to say that there are 18 year old guys out there who have more experience with ...

My boyfriend is in collage and not responding to my texts lately and he's usually who I vent to. I don't want to talk to my friends or family about it. I just feel sometime like cutting and/or killing myself. I want to make an appointment to talk to her but I don't know what I could say to start the conversation and such. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. I was debating about calling ...

I've been going through all sorts of emotions since my late H died - two years ago last August. I am "lucky" in that I have a fair amount of experience of grief as I used to be a bereavement counsellor. Thought my personal experience was worth sharing though. Between the time of his death and his funeral I discovered that he had been unfaithful to me for many years. Didn't come as a total ...

Alreet everyone! I'm in Leicester, Uk. Work as a projectionist which pays the bills while I train as a counsellor. Pretty much everything I know about computers is self taught, that coupled with my innate stubborness when it comes to asking for help means there are some pretty large gaps in my knowledge. Anyway yes, I finally caved in when I couldn't sort out the problem that's been ...

Hi, Just a quick question that I'm hoping someone out there has the question to (if you don't mind). Would a counsellor ever give a value judgement on a clients family? For instance, would they ever say that they think members of a clients family are dreadful? I've got no experience of counselling so I'm a bit stumped on this one.
