I've been away for a while. But let's tread some ground we haven't trod in a while. Let's consider perhaps the most basic argument for a Creator. The Kalam Cosmological Argument 1. Whatever begins to exist has a cause. 2. The universe began to exist. 3. Therefore, the universe has a cause. Let the debate begin!

where unit conventions of general relativity are used (otherwise factors of G and c would also appear). It is common to quote values of energy density directly, though still using the name "cosmological constant". What does this paragraph mean? I ...

I have examined both the Leibnizian and Thomistic Cosmological Arguments, but how are they really different? WLC seems to be making a distinction between them that is rather vague. Could anyone here explain it in further detail?

Intriguing. Yea or Nay? http://www.starlarvae.org/Star_Larvae_Cosmological _Natural_Selection.html Spearheaded by physicist Lee Smolin, who lays out the idea in his book, " The Life of the Cosmos ", this Darwinian cosmogony assigns to universes a capacity to reproduce. It proposes a multigenerational ensemble of universes. In the Darwinian analogy ...

An Open Letter To All Scientists ... I am writing to you because the science community does not make allowances for innovation, or insights from a layperson. ( non-theist version ) It's not my desire to annoy you, or waste your time. But it is my hope that in the spirit of open-mindedness, you might take a few minutes to read the following. It seems impossible to separate ego ( I have ...

advertising David Bohm proposed a cosmological order radically different from generally accepted conventions, which he expressed as a distinction between the implicate and explicate order, described in the book Wholeness and the Implicate Order: In the enfolded [or implicate] order, space and time are no longer the dominant factors determining the ...

1. Everything that begins to exist must have a cause. 2. The universe began to exist. 3. Therefore, the universe must have a cause. Premise one seems reasonable to most: it is the most well-established scientific law known: the law of cause and effect. Premise two seems reasonable to most as well: the Big Bang seems to suggest the universe does indeed have a beginning. The ...
