Thinking of getting a new boiler after Christmas and know that it has to be a condensing type. With regards the 'condenser' pipe outlet I found this in the FAQ's section. Quote: Water coming out of a white PLASTIC pipe will be from a condensing boiler and is normal. It must go to a drain and not allowed to dribble on the ground! Does this mean I would be ...

I have a very frustrating problem. We have a huge QBW file (262mb) that we want to condense. It has data from 2000-2009. We tried condensing the file at 12/31/04 using the "clean up data" option and it didn't reduce the file size. As a last resort, we manually deleted all data from inception to 12/31/04, then booked a journal entry to set up the new trial balance at 12/31/04 and entered bills...

A couple of days ago I noticed a small puddle next to one of my American Standard Freedom 90 Upflow Condensing Gas Furnaces (Model AUX080C942C3). I initially assumed that one of the condensate drainage had come loose or that maybe something was blocked. But the leak has persisted even after thoroughly dissassembling the tubing, cleaning the trap, securing the tubing, and even removing and...

My son's Raveheat combi condensing boiler has developed a strange fault. If he has the CH temperature set at high the boiler keeps cutting out and the fault light comes on. If he turns the CH temperature down to half it runs OK and does not cut out. The HW runs OK. Any pointers as to what might be causing this fault would be much appreciated.

I live in a mobile home and during the recent snow storm, the snow buried the furnace vent which automatically shut-down the furnace. Can I add an extension to the vent and if so, do I need a specific type?
