This is a very helpful forum ...I have and is still learning a lot about my vehicle I had a turbo oil leak, that is now sorted out. Also the amount of blow by results in me am looking into getting the catch can. But until then... Is the oil that is sucked or blown into the turbo from the breather hose and then into the combustion chamber a problem to the engine? I ...

I tried searching and came up empty handed. I am researching cylinder heads for my 04 and was curious what the stock combustion chamber size is on the stock 241 heads as well as 243's? I am looking for a cost effective cylinder head and don't want my compression going up past 11:1 since I have the maggie. I also don't want compression to go below 10.5:1 for the same reason. Any help ...

I have built a nice biomass gasifier that produces about 700,000 btu's of heat per hour by burning or flaring the gas that comes out of it. What I want to do is, to flare the gas in an enclosed chamber so I would be able to capture all the exhaust and run it through some heat exchangers for heating hot water. I have a suction fan that pulls the gas out of ...

I just filled up the propane tank and I decided to make sure everything is okay with my usually-troublefree fridge. I bled the lines by opening the burners on the stove before trying to light the fridge. What I usually do before I light the fridge is make sure gas is getting to the chamber by holding down the pilot button for 30 seconds or more and then hitting the ignitor. Usually I ...

Ok I have become the owner of another sr, but it has issues. There are fragments between the piston and head. I've had similar issue with other scoots the problem was destroyed topend bearings, which is what I expected to see, not the case needle bearing is in tact, rings are fair and scars are minimal on the sides of the piston. I checked the reeds (original) and saw no problems, the air ...

I'm slightly puzzled?? The photo on the left is from the spare head I got with my 74 spider. I have no idea what it came from (besides and Alfa) but it does not have the cutouts around the valves that can clearly be seen on the head from my 73 GTV on the right. I've measued the head height and it appears to be at the factory height of 112.1 mm so it's never been cut. Did any heads come from ...

My turbocharged car has been burning oil ever since I got it from the builder over 5 years ago. The plugs get fouled with oily carbon residue. I recently removed the intake manifold and noticed traces of oil coming from the small drilled holes in the tops of each runner of the intake manifold. I removed the EGR passage way (aluminum casting) that supplies air to those holes and the inner ...

After reading on Endynes' site of the filling in (welding) in the chamber to raise compression. What do you guys think of removing the seats by heating the head enough to loosen them, then welding up, then heat treating back to spec after re-installing the seats. Just a thought. Probably cheaper to have custom rods/pistons and a block guard to raise comp instead. E

Sounds like he sprayed water into the muffler . I'd run the bike as soon as possible to get the top end lubricated. After 10-15 minutes, there shouldn't be any moisture remaining in there.
