Hi wondering if anyone can give me some advice, I had lletz treatment a few weeks back. My result shown cin 3 small area and cells removed with clear margins. I have been told I need a smear in 6 months not a colposcopy! My information leaflet says after treament you require a colposcopy. I bit confused. Any advice greatlty appreciated. Katy

So my Dr's. office called me earlier and informed me that the results of my pap test at my last appt. was abnormal. Apparently I have an abnormal cervix. They scheduled me in for another appt within 2 weeks to do a colposcopy on me. The woman who called wouldn't tell me exactly what it was so I took it upon my self to google it I suppose.... i had an abnormal pap a few years back they did a repeat pap then a colposcopy. i had displaysia pretty sevear and went on to have a conization done. i was extreamly thankful that they caught it when they did or i would have had cervical cancer. it's nothing to play with. get a repeat pap then get the colposcopy. i know it's scary but it's important to take care of your body and your health but...
