I had a colposcopy/biopsy done 13 days ago. My doctor advised not to have sexual intercourse for 2 weeks, and I figured 13 days was close enough--I felt like I'd healed completely from the biopsy and figured it wouldn't be a problem. Hi wondering if anyone can give me some advice, I had lletz treatment a few weeks back. My result shown cin 3 small area and cells removed with clear margins. I have been told I need a smear in 6 months not a colposcopy! My information leaflet says after treament you require a colposcopy. I bit confused. Any advice greatlty appreciated. Katy

So my Dr's. office called me earlier and informed me that the results of my pap test at my last appt. was abnormal. Apparently I have an abnormal cervix. They scheduled me in for another appt within 2 weeks to do a colposcopy on me. The woman who called wouldn't tell me exactly what it was so I took it upon my self to google it I suppose.... At my 6 week check up the Doc said he could so my smear now as I was due one in a few months. I agreed - now I have just had a phonecall saying I need to go in for a colposcopy asap as it was abnormal. She sounded shocked they took a smear at 6wks postnatal, now I am sooo worried. Have done some googling and I think it should have been left to 12 weeks. Has anyone else had this?
