Right, last night I was playing around with the settings on my 360 and have found the best settings to be Expanded in reference and RGB in color spacing. Is this correct with my following setup? I am using a samsung series 6 37" and the xbox is connected via HDMI (it says HDMI+A what ever that means). Is there any way I can get a picture up with those bars to adjust the TV settings to and ...

Does it matter or which works better? Is there any benefit working in aRGB and then converting to sRGB for prints instead of working in sRGB straight through? Is there a possible clipping of some colors when converting to the sRGB color space. My Lab only prints in sRGB so I mainly work in sRGB. They will accept aRGB files but they convert them before printing anyways. Plus when I give files to ...

I'm trying to do a batch process of 10 HDR's in Photomatix Pro except I get this message. I realise it's telling me the color spaces don't match but then I go to Edit in PHotoshop CS4 I don't have the option of changing my color space to Adobe RGB Linear Profile. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong. Many thanks

Not sure if this should be here or in the printing forum, but since it involves a new 15" macbook pro and aperture I thought I would try here. I almost always put my images in smugmug for personal use or to photostock sites for sale. Almost never print. I don't always get the colors that I thought I should get. So I just tried to print some stuff on my Canon MX860 with Costco Kirkland glossy ...

I’m a bit confused about this srgb/adobe rgb thing… I usually work on InDesign files for a magazine, but for this job, I am just helping the client by recommending a printer – they will provide the PDF files for print. The issue is that their photographer just asked us whether we use sRGB or Adobe 1998 color space. He seems to lean towards Adobe 1998. Isn’t this a question for whoever authors ...

Hi, I just got an LX3. I've been using a D300. I shoot both in RAW. Now on the D300 I default to Adobe RGB. On the LX3 there is no option sRGB the default I suppose. BUT...I shoot RAW! SO there is no color space right? But there must be some limit....right? Does it relate to sRGB then? Also I've been bringing in the images to ACR and my default is ProPhoto RGB 16 bit. ANy advantages with ...

I just purchased and installed PSE 8 as an upgrade to PSE 6. My catalog correctly shows all of my existing images. However, when I try to import photos into the Organizer, I get a message that nothing was imported. The reason given is that "The Organizer does not support the color space in the file." This happens with photos taken on my iPhone as well as those from my Canon PowerShot A1100...

not all "canned paper/printer profiles" ie ones produced by the paper manufacturer for various printers, are very good. Epson makes great profiles for its profiles but other paper manufacturer do not. I find the only way around this is to create your own profiles using Eye One photo kit which has a spectrophotometer to allow me to make my own profile for whatever paper I use. Theser are a bit ...

I use normal, I tried using expanded but then I discovered I was losing some detail in the darkest regions which i didnt like. Not obvious on some stuff, but as I could on some games, I prefered the increased details. Could be down to my amps inability to pass the full RGB range though.

that's my point. what's the sense of working in argb when the colors get clipped while converting to srgb to print.. I think a good work flow is to stick with your output color space from begging to end. If I was able to print using argb that would be a different story.\
