Restoration of Colonial Williamsburg Begins (1926) The restoration of Colonial Williamsburg, one of the largest historic restorations ever undertaken, was championed by the Reverend Dr. W.A.R. Me and my husband are going to the Colonial for 7 days on the 30th December. I was just wondering if anyone knows what to expect on New Years Eve and if there is a dress code i.e Black Tie. We are then moving over to the Elegance Club for a further 7 days. Many thanks for all your recent helpful reviews.

I've posted some stuff on this project else where, so many of you have probably already seen this project, this is just a cut down & catch up version here at Zealot. As you'll see from the pics, the project made it to 75 % finished, unfortunately it all stalled thanks to a minor build issue, that dominoed into a necessary re-design of the parts. I'll get it finished as soon as time permits, In ...

What letter writer David Fleming fails to address is that every taxpayer and every for-profit business subsidize not-for-profit organizations like the one for which Mr. Fleming works. Further, for profit companies are stuck with paying real-estate taxes on land upon which their businesses sit, and those taxes pay for government services to the community. Alas, Mr. Fleming's oh-so-caring, ...

My wife approached me a couple of weeks ago saying that they had discovered the original charter for her Colonial Dames lineage chapter in a members' basement. She wanted to know if I could frame it. So I told her sure. What you see here is a case of not knowing when to stop. I matted and framed the Charter and then decided it should have a carrying satchel or something for when they go to ...
