OK, so i am officially an idiot. I am doing a tune up myself (1st time) on my 2000 Jetta GLS. When taking off the plug wire from the coil pack I broke the plastic part that sticks up where the wire plugs in. Am I screwed? Will it work ok like that or do I need to fix it? Can I just buy the plastic cover or do I need a whole new coil pack? I started the car and it ran fine. Should I just ...

This is half in a rage (one of those "how did I possibly manage to fuck this up) and half in question. I replaced my coil pack just fine, got that taken care of, but in the process of doing so I moved the fuel rail around to get to it, along with the black thing attached to it that the injectors' wires go to. I bolted everything back together, but left those little black plastic spacers out...

I lost one of those little springs in the rubber boot on the coilpack. The dealer wont sell me just the spring. Its probably a 10 cent part. But I need it either way. I'll pay $10 shipped for it. Pm me if you have one

Is the bolt that holds the coil pack in place used as a ground? One of the four has a caked white film on it, much more than the others. Has anyone seen this? Should I take a wire brush to it or the other bolts?

Two weeks ago, my car is experiencing coil pack symptoms and today I took it to Autozone and said the error code was cylinder # 5 misfire. I already ordered two (one to keep in trunk just in case) at $50 each and will be arriving in Moday or Tuesday. Is there a DIY with pictures? I searched threads but no luck with no pictures. Im no handyman but I will give these a try since its a recurring ...

I know the numbering on my 2002 SC2 is 4-1-2-3 left to right at the motor. But the connection at the coil pack is where my question is. There are numbered markings on each pack 4/2 and 1/3. Are they there to tell you which plug is for each wire? The 4 wire is connected on a post labled 1/3 and the 1 wire is on a post labled 4/2. The same with the last two wires? Is this correct? or Backwards...

I need a "newer" coil pack than mine for my 97 gti vr6. VW wants 399 for a new one and thats obviously a little extreme for a "starving college student." If anybody has anything or know where I can pick one up for a price well below that that'd be excellent. Thanks

Can anyone recomend an aftermarket coil pack for my 03 jetta 2.0L that is high quality and won't give me any trouble? The cost of the one from the dealer is just out of my reach. ($300 or so dealer)
